I am looking for information on a Roos family that lived in Haarlem and
Beverwijk in the late 1600's. Petrus Roos married in 1720 in Helmond in
Noord-Brabant but when he remarried in Asten in 1744 it said he was born in
Haarlem. He is probably a son of Niclaes Peters and Anna Smits (3 children
baptized in Helmond 1699, 1700, 1701). Petrus probably has a sister Maria
Nicolaes Roos, born abt 1693 in Beverwijk. She is also known as Maria
Peters de Roos. When Maria married in Helmond in 1717 she was known as
Maria Nicolaes Roos. Any help would be appreciated. thanks. Tony

Anthony,

(de) Roos is a name that's found in Roman Catholic Beverwijk around 1700.
Not very common though. I couldn't find any Maria or Petrus.
The following names resemble the ones you mention:

Baptized (Roman Catholic):
Pieter 21-09-1692 son of Claas Pieters and Lijsbeth Evers
Machteld 14-02-1697 daughter of Claas Pieters and Lijsbeth Evers.

It's not much, but maybe a little bit?
