I don't know if this can be done with the CD-rom BDM's, but would it
be possible to do a lookup by christian name only. The reason is,
I have an Eleanor BRYANT born abt 1837 she died before 1882 according
to her mother's death cert. She is not listed as marrying or dying under
the name of BRYANT.
So I was wondering if it is possible to lookup an ELEANOR ? dying
before 1882 father William mother Ann. I don't think Eleanor was a very
common name at the time.
If this can't be done I guess I will have to go to the local library
and go through the microfische surname by surname.
Thanks In Advance
Margaret.

Margaret -

A lookup of the NSW Pioneers CD turns up only 1 person fitting the exact
details which you supplied.
O'Connor ; Eleanor E
died 1877 Reg'd Newtown
Father William
Mother Ann J

Just using the exact spellings you gave, there are over 600 entries in
the Deaths alone.
There are a possible 11 variations of the name, Eleanor alone,
disregarding the typographical errors and variations in abbreviations
for William and Ann - However you just might have struck it rich.

Have you checked out a marriage of Eleanor Agnes Bryant to a George
Corich (?Court) Betteridge (?Batteries) in 1870 , registered in Sydney.
2 entries for the same event giving variations on what must have been a
near indecipherable entry.
