From The South Australian Advertiser, 31 July 1899 -
TERRIBLE FATALITY.
THREE MEN CRUSHED TO DEATH.
Perth, July 30.
A terrible tragedy is reported from Big Brook, ten miles from
Jarrahdale. Three men--James Connaughton, Arthur O'Hearn, and
Frederick Painter--were camping there on Friday night, when a tree
fell on their tent and killed the three of them. Connaughton was a
married man, and the other two were single.
