Sands Directories

I mentioned the Sands Directories in the response to a query on this
List. I've had a couple of queries about these directories.
The Sands Directories I mentioned are:

The Sydney Sands and Kenny Directories - 1858/59 and 1860.
The Sydney Sands Directories annually - 1863 to 1932/33 except 1872,
1874, 1878
and 1881.

There is an excellent book listing NSW directories and NSW local
histories (histories written before 1987), I don't know if it is still
available - perhaps by inter-library loan :-

Not a web site, but there is a publication.

The Directory Directory. The Family, Local and Social Historian's Guide to
the contents and holdings of New Zealand Almanac, Business, Postal and
Telephone Directories 1842-1960 by Donald Hansen

Published in 1994 and now out of print!! ISBN 0 473 02717 8 sold for
$12

We do have one copy left!! Perhaps if there was enough interest, the
author would consider a reprint???
