Medical Reports from Ship's Voyage

I'm wondering whether these are available anywhere.
Specifically:
Death of an infant: Patrick Logan
Ship: Elizabeth (I)
Liverpool 3 Oct 1843
Sydney 20 Jan 1844
Captain Moffat
I'd like to get the date of the infant death.

Hi Bryan
You need to look up NSW State Records film #s 2135 & 2450 . Also check
in the 3 volumes of the Log of Logs books . If a surgeons report has
survived there should be a ref in one of these books . Might be on
either film too ?

That is where the DEATH ," could" be reported.
Otherwise -- for you -- the Log of Logs ( Nicholson) -somebodies
diary may be your only other clue, for the date.

are covered by a research guide: "Tracing, births, deaths and marriages at
sea" published by the Society of Genealogists - you can buy a copy from them
or there are copies available in many genealogical libraries worldwide.

it appears the deaths for that voyage is listed on Reel 2450.
Nothing in Vol.1 Log of Logs.

Thanks MargM for the advice and the link. I got the surgeon's name from
that. I have a copy of the handwritten ship's manifest already of our Logans
but couldn't read his name on that.
It was just one of those dotting the i's and crossing t's things to tidy
things up. It would have been nice to get his date of death and anything
else.
