MELBOURNE. Wed.--The death occurred in a private hospital
in Melbourne today of Mr. Terence Mortimer Ahern chairman of
the Brisbane Amateur Turf Club. Mr. Ahern was 60. As
chairman of the Brisbane Amateur Turf Club he played a
conspicuous part in racing in Queensland. He was a member of
the Queensland Turf Club and Tattersalls Club. For many year
he raced horses, best of them being Highland, All Mag, Tom
McCarthy, High Rank, and Glenbar.
