Thank you Thank you Thank you at last I feel I am making progress.
I have the wife and children of Capt Matthew Price arriving in Victoria on
Kent in April 1853 but I just could not find him, until someone told me
about the 40th arrival in NSW.
When did all this (Eureka) take place & did it write up in newspapers the
Army leaders by name???? because in January 1853 Matthew Price was acting
Police Inspector in Oven area of Victoria!!!!!! and out of the Army.
I just hope there is some other buff out there with more info on the
regiment itself and other details.

From the subject title is sounds an odd name for an indian Army Regiment.
