I recently received some information from the Tassie Archives Office only to
find out that none of it is relevant to my family research. If anyone has a
connection to the people mentioned below and would like the copies of
convict records etc that I have been sent, please let me know and I would be
happy to send them on to you. Info is as follows:
A copy of the registration of the birth of Alfred ALEXANDER, born Longford
1861; print from the TPI which outlines the details of the other children
born to Alfred's parents, George ALEXANDER and Mary
BUTWELL/BATWELL/BUTTERWORTH; copy of the registration of the marriage of
George and Mary, Launceston 1855; copy of convict records for George
including ship and date transported; copy of the registration of the birth
of Mary who was born to Samuel BUTWELL and Louisa CLARKE in Launceston 1839;
copy of the convict records for Samuel including ship and date transported.
