British King

I don't have anybody who arrived on the British King but there are
number of threads about this ship. You should have a look Keith Dash's

If you look here on Ancestry

he has indicated that those passengers who came from Tiree and Coll are
listed.

Google for "British King" +ship you will see many mentions of the 1838
trip. This online publication
www.collgenealogy.com/History/CollinCrisis.pdf contains information
about the trip out.

The National Library lists a book Clarence River Pioneers / by G.
Dennes, which is specifically about the British King. You can find some
info about this and some of the families here :

You should be able to organise an interlibrary loan for it.


You should search TROVE on the NLA site and check the relevant decade
for information. This article
