I would love to hear from any body who is descended from, or knows
anything about, the families below. Also, does anyone know about
fostering or adopting in Vic around the late 1850's - early 1860's ?

I am researching my greatgrandfather, George Edward YOUNG. Even
though he says he was born in Melbourne, c1859, the Vic BDM Registry
has "NO RECORD".

George Edward YOUNG, c1859 - 28 May 1906
m. 25 Dec 1879 Flora Annie CRESSWELL, c1861 - 14 Jul 1882
ch. Flora Elizabeth YOUNG, 4 Jan 1881 - 11 Jul 1940
ch. Ada Augusta Young, 26 Jun 1882 - 15 Jan 1883
m. 19 Aug 1885 Janet Charlotte YOUNGER, 18 Jun 1861 - 18 Jan 1953
ch. Hilda May YOUNG, 16 Nov 1886 - 24 May 1961
ch. Alice Maude YOUNG, 9 Feb 1889 - 14 Sep 1918
ch. Eileen Winifred YOUNG, 25 Jul 1886 - 23 Dec 1972
ch. Charles Hector YOUNG, 31 Mar 1899 - 31 Oct 1944
ch. George Thomas YOUNG, 8 Mar 1892 - 9 Oct 1945
foster ch. Albert YOUNG, 24 Oct 1902 - 27 Jun 1969

It may be that George Edward Young was fostered or adopted by this
family (pure speculation by me):
George YOUNG, c1825 - ?
m. 1847 Ellen GRIFFITHS, c1829 - ?
ch. William James YOUNG, c1848 - ?
ch. Kate YOUNG, c1850 - ?
ch. Amy Blanche YOUNG, c1852 - by 1867
ch. Mary Ann YOUNG, c1855 - ?
--> ?? foster/adopted ch. George Edward YOUNG <--
ch. Emily Jane YOUNG, 26 Jul 1867 - ?

Can anybody help?
Cheers
