Anybody's guess. They have no Certificate of Title. Some V.C.'s have been
sold at auction, and finish up in the hands of an unrelated person. You
need some kind of idea of the likely place, or you might as well forget
about it. The War Museum may have them, or may be able to help.
V.C.'s are exceptional, of course. Staff with rows and rows of medals
aren't necessarily collecting a bravery award every week. Most of them are
campaign medals, merely saying that the wearer was at such and such a
theatre of war.
