SACKVILLES

Hi,

I have established that a number of family members
worked for SACKVILLES as machinists in the mid to
late 1930s, and I would love to know more about
this. i.e. when they started, when they finished
and if any other family members were also there?

I have tried to check with the PRO but I cannot
find any records there. Is there likely to be
employee lists, apprenticeship records for general
clothing companies in Victoria in the 1930/40s?

Pat, there was a clothing factory on the road between Bendigo and Eaglehawk
that closed down a few years ago. We bought a few items directly from them.
I think that it was Sackvilles. Your connections seem to be in this area.
There may be something at the Bendigo Library's resource centre. I don't
know about Government records.
