NSW death needed

Could someone please help me locate the information about the death of an Edmund
Galley who died after 1888 in NSW. He last wrote to England from Illalong, Binnalong,
NSW on 23rd October 1881 when at least sixty years old and I need to know when he died.

There were 6 registered between 1788 and 1888, again none with the
first name 'Edmund'

A quick check of the NSW BDM indexes for NSW from 1889 to 1945 could not locate
the death of an Edmund Galley. Perhaps he did not die in New South Wales?
