Can anyone suggest where I could find details of what information is
provided on NSW BDM records. I certanly know that the information given
on SA records changed over time, and I'd like to know for NSW.

Check the latest edition of Faye Young and Don Harris, "Birth, death and
marriage certificates in Australia", AIGS, Oakleigh, Vic, for the details
you require. The Heraldry and Genealogy Society of Canberra and the
National Library of Australia are bound to have copies.
