Enough is enough! It's long overdue to build anti-tomato
defense shield !

Robertson a tomato target at Prague summit closing
- 22.11.

PRAGUE, Nov 22 (CTK) - The conclusion of NATO Secretary
General George Robertson's press conference was interrupted
by two men who threw a tomato at Robertson.

Both men were immediately apprehended by security and
Robertson was covered up by bodyguards. Some police reports
say that the men tossed water balloons at Robertson.

Both men were accredited as Russian journalists and spoke
Russian. One of them said that they are activists from the
ultra- nationalist Russian National Bolshevik Party. One of
the men shouted "You are covered in the blood of children,"
and "NATO is worse than the Gestapo." The man was wearing a
red armband with a hammer and sickle.

"That's something you just don't do, it's very impolite,"
Czech government commissioner for the NATO summit Alexandr
Vondra said. He then compared the incident to anarchists
tossing cakes and eggs at then-U.S. secretary of state
Madeleine Albright during her speech at the Brno law faculty
two years ago.

Vondra said that this is only a small incident and
accused the men of abusing the journalistic profession.
"This is outside the boundaries of what is expected of
journalists at press conferences," he said.

Defence Minister Jaroslav Tvrdik said he is convinced
that "one tomato" will not ruin the success of the summit.
"It cannot cast a shadow on the importance of the summit's
content or the organisational side of the summit," he said.

The men were taken to the local police command post where
their statements will be taken and further action will be
decided.

This is the first known incident inside Prague's Congress
Centre during the NATO summit. Robertson remained on the
podium during the incident and remained calm. Shortly
afterwards he appeared in a photo opportunity with the
summit's main organisers.

Excellent! Maybe that will teach him to ethnically cleanse Serbs in
Kosovo.

Vaclav Havel will retire in January 2003 and will probably
move to Portugal - you, Amir and Murza can follow him there
and throw tomatoes at him.

I wonder if ves-Krnova will move there with him, i.e. permanently. Can't see
how she could since she's nobody outside Czech borders (even bad publicity
is better than no publicity considring that she's not much liked by general
public in the Czech Republic, i.e. as a first lady, as an actress she was OK
:-)

If they were, they would ate George Robertson ( and then the
bodyguards, the audience, the building and the city.. )

Not all of them are like that. The ones I grow in my garden
smile all day and say "pardon me" when I bump into them.
