Jammu - One of the top commanders of Pakistan-based
militant outfit Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT) was gunned down
by the joint team of security forces in a clinical
operation in old city area of Narparistan Fatehkadal on
early Thursday morning in Shrinagar.

The security forces who were tracking down the movement
of the LeT commander had received a tip-off about his
whereabouts in the old city area of Srinagar and had laid
the cordon around the house on Wednesday late evening.

In the early hours, when the local residents in the area
were heading towards religious places to offer daily
prayers, security forces zeroed in on the location of the
house.
