OPEN LETTER

Based on the protest mood of the people all the national communities
of the Crimea peninsula to Ukraine as reflected in periodic surveys on
the status of Crimea, the results of which clearly indicate the desire
of Crimea’s population to self-determination (70% +), mistakes in the
internal politics of Ukraine, the external factors affecting the
situation in Crimea – we, the Revolutionary Front of Crimea (RFC)
assume responsibility in creating a united front of struggle for the
independence of Crimea and the formation of the Shadow Cabinet of the
Crimea, acting on behalf and in defense of all the inhabitants of the
peninsula.

According to the Manifesto of RFC from now residents of Crimea are
citizens of the Crimea, the fighters for the independence of the
Crimea are the soldiers of the Crimea, and any activities of the
organization should be considered as a manifestation of people’s
liberation struggle for the independence of Crimea.

Despite the stated flexibility in the choice of methods and means of
achieving the goals on our part, we call upon the senior management of
Ukraine did not prevent the crackdown and its uncontrolled development
up to a humanitarian catastrophe. In this case, the responsibility
rests with the officials of the Ukraine, who took irresponsible
decisions on the correct way out.

For its part, RFC in its movement towards independence of the Crimea
responsibly committed to the European approach in solving problems
through negotiations between all involved in a potential conflict
parties.

We call on the President of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to hold
a Crimean referendum on the status of Crimea – as the territory of
Ukraine or the subject of international law. The results of the
referendum held with the participation of international observers,
will form the basis for further steps to resolve the crisis.

We hope that your political experience and prudence will allow,
considering the current situation and prospects of escalation of the
conflict, to take the only right decision in favor of the wishes of
the inhabitants of the Crimea.
