BABACAN: ''WE TARGET TO COMPLETE FIFTH REVIEW BEFORE AUGUST 4''

ANKARA - State Minister Ali Babacan said on Sunday, ''we target to
complete the fifth review under the Stand-by deal between Turkey and
the International Monetary Fund (IMF) before August 4, 2003. IMF Board
will debate the fifth review before or after its annual recess between
August 4 and 15.''

ANKARA - International Monetary Fund (IMF) Turkey Desk Chief Reza
Moghadam said on Sunday that IMF delegation and the government had
reached an agreement on policy implementations to complete the fifth
review under the Stand-by deal between Turkey and the IMF.

LEFKOSA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener
said on Sunday, ''a lasting and fair solution can be found to the
Cyprus question with recognition of facts in the island and sovereign
equality of the sides by all relevant sides. A solution to Cyprus
question depends on equal status and equal sovereignty of Turkish
Cypriot people. The solution should be based on equal sovereignty,
continuation of Turkey's de facto and influential guarantee and
protection of Turkish-Greek balance.''
