This is a short excerpt from a long article of the Bangkok Post.
Once again, it shows the intimate relationship between the owners of
the Bangkok airports and the neoNazi PAD:

(...)Of course, what is the most fishy about Mr Sohpon's move is the
immediate benefits that will accrue to King Power International
Group's duty-free monopoly at Suvarnabhumi.
Forcing passengers from BIA to SA enlarges King Power's captive
market. King Power is alleged to be the main backer of politicians
linked to Newin Chidchob.
At the height of the political confrontation last year, Mr Newin
openly used King Power's Pullman hotel as his base of operations.

Ahhh Mort! You seem confused as the article you quote has nothing to
do with the "owners of the Bangkok airports and the PAD" and
everything to do with the "Friends of Newin" faction and an apparent
attempt to fill their coffers as quickly as possible.

Of course your quote is from a week old newspaper and there have been
later articles with more details of the affair, but I suppose news
travels slowly in some circles.

Ignorant libelous trolling.

hmmm... after the September 2006 copu, AOT's board cancelled the monopoly
granted under Thaksin, saying there were irregularities in the concession.
Vichai, Chairman of King Power, sued AOT for the early termination in civil
court.
The court granted an injunction to allow operation, and ordered King Power
to pay, I think it was, about 3 billion bt in unpaid concession fees.

> Forcing passengers from BIA to SA enlarges King Power's captive market.

Do tell.
DOMESTIC flights provide duty-free commerce? ;~)

Ah, right, *some* passengers whose international connecting flights run too
close to arrival/departure times of domestic flights via Nok and 1-2 Go
might not have enough time to shop it up at Swanaboom, given the vagaries of
Bangkok traffic (leaving aside the fact that if their connections have THAT
short an interval, it's a dicey proposition ;~) . . . but Thai air's
domestic flights are leaving Don Muang anyway.
So. umm, Thai air's just a minor player? 8~)

Uh huh. Newin, MAJOR powerbroker among any and all parties, and until the
2006 coup, TRT Buriram MP .
So?

Umm, yeah ?

Thaksin's exile has also created some divisions within the People Power
Party, the members of which are vying for power realignments. As the dust of
infighting has yet to settle, the role of Newin Chidchob becomes
increasingly important. Newin has emerged as Thaksin's heir apparent.
Although he has been barred from politics for five years, Newin is patiently
waiting for his time because he is relatively still young. Newin has sent
out the signal that the political world revolves around him.

When Thaksin made the announcement from London last week to declare his
intention to seek exile abroad, he faxed his hand-written statement to
Newin. Newin was waiting for the news from Thaksin at the Pullman Bangkok
Hotel before passing the statement on to the TV newsroom of NBT to
broadcast. Newin now controls more than 100 MPs from the Northeast, although
the MPs from the upper Northeast don't like him, nor do the MPs from the
North. But they all realise that Newin is calling most of the shots. </q>

Newin later abandoned PPP to join with Democrats' coalition government.

How ANY of this shows the junk that spilled from Mort's mouth only Mort
could explain--but count on the troll to dismiss FACTS and go for the ad
hominem.
