Hopefully there's more to come.

China is the worst country in the world with the worst government in
the world.

May the Chinese government FALL.

God is fair.

One day, something really bad will befall on your family, for what you
are doing today.

Something really, really horrible.

God is fair.

IF THE WORLD was not already focused on China's "preparations" for the
August Olympics, news of the earthquake would be minimal, slow in
coming, and definitely heavily edited to hide the true loss of life.
And, away from any cameras, the dead would be bulldozed into a giant
mass grave. As it is, for the Commies, it's just another irritant.
After all, what are 10,000 Chinese lives to a "government" that is
slavemaster to 1.3 billion? Of course, if the Chinks "allow" the
10,000 dead figure to be released, it doubtless means that maybe
50,000 have died.

The funny thing is the quake includes areas with a high Tibetan

The Chinese people does not reserve any kind of this remarks due to their
government, we as inhabitants of this world should be considered with our
follow neighbors of any country, China, Russia, Taiwan, Pakistan and
everyone else and support them in any case of disaster like the earthquake
in China and the storm dissaster in Mianmar.

FYI

The hardest hit county, Wenchuan, with a population of 111,800, lies
in southeast part of the Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Aba,
146 km to the northwest of Chengdu, provincial capital of Sichuan has
a large ethnic Tibetan population.

A real dilema for the anti-Chinese airheads. If you don't help China
you are really ignoring the Tibetans.

That is a horrible thing to say.
The tibetan people would not say that.

Buddha said, in the Dhammapada;

We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.
Speak or act with an impure mind
And trouble will follow you
As the wheel follows the ox that draws the cart.

We are what we think.
All that we are arises with our thoughts.
With our thoughts we make the world.
Speak or act with a pure mind
And happiness will follow you
As your shadow, unshakable.

"Look how he abused me and beat me,
How he threw me down and robbed me."
Live with such thoughts and you live in hate.

"Look how he abused me and beat me,
How he threw me down and robbed me."
Abandon such thoughts, and live in love.

In this world
Hate never yet dispelled hate.
Only love dispels hate.
This is the law,
Ancient and inexhaustible.

You too shall pass away
knowing this, how can you quarrel?

And what about karma? This disaster which met the Chinese people was
actually caused by the actions of the Chinese government. I've got no doubt
that it was a karma of the PRC and sham-Communist Chinese Party destroying
Tibet. I,ve a lot of compassion for people but none for "their" government
--- it's independent whether it's CCP or another government.

PS. If DL after the sooner-or-later coming independence of Tibet returns to
those of old practices which were wrong (what's rather unlikely) he will
have a bad karma, too. If he continues his new leftist line which gave him
popularity in the West and is able to reintegrate the tradition with the
modern non-feudal system, he will not have any wrong karma. But I believe
in the universality of Buddhism, esp. Vajrayana which is elastic and can
easily adjust to the modernized situation which many lamas proved in the
West as their experimental spiritual maneuver-field.

In this particular case, there is something more. It shows western
heartlessness as an entire civilization. According to your fucking
western media, since Chinese are so rich today, they can deal with it
themselves. Your western civilization doesn't have to care. You only
care about finding out faults in the Chinese government.

the Athenians), but it was a democracy, anyway, not an empire.

They began to manifest those tendencies after the Civilan War. The

Please be calm. Your anger and rage are creating a hell in your own mind.
You are conflicted and confused. You can't hurt me, but you are hurting
yourself a lot more than you realize.

All living beings recognize and appreciate peace, gentleness, loving
kindness.

All living beings dislike rage and anger and such confusion.

It is YOUR CHOICE alone, where you put your mind, my friend. Think about
being in a field of beautiful flowers. Think about a loving parent caring
for a child. Think about peace and you will be a lot happier.

Will it make you feel just a tiny bit better to know that there are some
good people in my small town in upstate New York who sent money this day to
help the victims of the earthquake?

You are just the kind of person I want to talk to Jim Walsh and Peter
Webb. These two constantly aggitate and try to create chaos and
dissension for China about election, democracy, free speech, freedom
of the press....

What China has is a peace of mind, steady jobs, money to spend and
enjoyment of life, food to eat, and a future they can look forward to.

Election, democracy, freedom of speech,... would not free the Chinese
people from past history of starvation, hardship and cruelty of
natural elements. Todays' Chinese leaders are doing a great job of
setting the nation to the advancement of the 21th cenury.

Hello,

I haven't been to this newsgroup in a long time. I notice there are a lot
of cross posted things going on here, and was saddened to see all that
anger. My husband worked in China and he agreed that your system works
for you just now. He had a good experience there, and he says that all you
say is true about the past, and the fact that everyone has a job in China is
true.

I too have heard stories of religious repression, human rights violations,
forced sterilizations and unbelievable cruelty visited on the Tibetans.
How much of this is true, I can't say. I do know that the Dalai Lama has
only advocated peace and insists he doesn't want separation from China but
only peaceful and fair treatment for the people of Tibet.

I also know that rage and anger and hatred are harmful to the person who
does the hating, even more than the person it is directed towards.

I can assure you that as regards the terrible earthquake that has been
experienced, there are many westerners who genuinely care and wish to help
in any way they can. NO country is immune from natural disasters. All
people bleed and hurt, and when loved ones are killed, their families all
cry, both in the west and in China.

It is the nature of usenet groups to have all sorts of strange opinions
aired. Those opinions may not be representative of the majority, and they
may not be educated opinions either. They are just opinions. If one
person has an opinion you don't share, forget about it! Ranting on usenet
will solve nothing, rage and anger will solve nothing.

Kindness and understanding may even make miracles.

$1 Trillion is nothing. A small amount for the US economy. And it just went
down by a significant amount with the previous Greenspan engineered
deliberate devaluation of the US dollar. Now they owe you half. haha. If
they can't sell their goods to the world, they have a revolution inside
