I don't believe it!
Cross Country Trains has just announced their new First Class, return,
walk-up fare from Newquay, in Cornwall to Kyle of Lochalsh in the Scottish
Highlands.
It is ONLY 1,000.
When they were challenged by the Tories and Lib/Dems, (who blamed Labour),
they an advanced fare of 561 was available.

You could get a Taxi for that price! Does it include meals?

Did they mention that the bridge is free?

The fare is somewhat theoretical; if you cough up 10 quid less you can
get an All Line Rover (1st class) valid for 14 days.

Time for a head examination. I agree with Fred!

There's a 'new post' just appeared in alt.politics.usa claiming to be from
you.
7/11/09

Just wondered if it is really yours.

Might be an unnoticed cross-post but I have not posted to that group on
purpose.
I'm not about to go and look for it.

Nah - it's definitely not an accidental crosspost.
It's a 'first post' starting a new thread about how 75% of US 17 - 24 year
olds are now deemed unfit for military service due to them being too fat or
too stupid or both.

Does either "westnet.au" or "Google Groups" appear
in the headers? Is the e-mail addy of the poster from
aioe.org, gmail, rocketmail, yahoo, or a similar spam
type throwaway e-mail provider?

That, then, is nothing to do with me. I couldn't comment on USAsian youths
as I do not know any. Haven't met any for years. Last ones I met knocked on
my door and tried to convert me to Christianity. A nice clean-cut group of
young people, well mannered and well spoken. Bit thick though,(and I don't
mean round the waist).

Likely it's Heid, then.

After all, he was claiming that he "*was*" Auld Bob,
he's done it to at least two other posters recently,
and he hasn't the maturity to control himself, in this
or any other instance.

The gmail addy for the account fits as well - what's
the posting host: do you see either "westnet.au,"
"aioe.org," or "Google Groups" in the headers?
