Air Connections:Iran is served by its own airline, Iran Airlines as
well as many other major international airlines.
Area:1.648.195 Kilometers (16th largest country in the world)
Bank, Currency and Credit Cards: Most of the world's currencies are
recognized as legal tender in Iran and are freely exchanged at banks
or may be used in making purchases. Iranian currency is the RIAL.
Tourist services are quoted and guaranteed in U.S. dollars or E.U. and
Credit Card Not Accepted in Iran at the Moment (maybe Carpet shops and
Hotels accepted), All the Bank’s are opens Saturday to Thursday 07:30
AM- 13:30 PM. Bring your passport and a book to read. Many banks have
separate lines for foreign currency exchange – of course Exchange
Office’s are opens at the afternoon until evening. Don’t be shy to ask
where to go. You may change dollars into Rails legally by going to a
bank.
Cellular Telephones:Very popular and reasonable. It’s so cheap sim-
cards you can Buy them from the Shopping malls, International
Airports, or contact your hotel concierge. After coming back to your
Home town you can keep it and use when you are In Iran again. It is
illegal to drive while holding a cell phone. When renting a car, ask
your rental agent for a hands-free set.
Climate: Iran enjoys a four season’s climate most of the year, with
rainfall usually periodically only between late September and April.
All the land in December and January are under cold climate except the
Persian Gulf lines, rainy periods are interspersed in March and late
April, rainy climate In Caspian coast lines in many, many, sunny days.
There is little or no rain in center to East to South regions.
Education and Science:Iranian institutions of higher education include
universities, offering a wide range of subjects in science and
humanities, and serving as research institutions of worldwide repute.
Electricity:The electrical current in Iran is 220 V. AC, single phase,
50 Hz. 110V appliances can be used only with a step-up transformer or
appropriate adapter.

must hold a valid passport; from 2006 visitors of the more than 50
