St. Isaac's Cathedral in St. Petersburg commemorates the saint on whose nameday Peter the
Great was born, Isaac of Dalmatia, in whose name five emperors in succession had begun to
build the church. But who was St. Isaac of Dalmatia? If anyone knows anything about him,
they might like to post on these newsgroups for the benefit of its readers, or e-mail me.
