What about the science of stories. 'Humans' do them,
thus they have physical and information structure basis(brains),
thus they are measurable and subjects of scientific
analysis and theory. Stories have their function, even
'God' stories. The place is a mystery, 'humans' tend to
personification stories. ETs, AIs, and SIs probably do
the same.

Please argue from understanding, not agenda.

What if God and the Universe are identical (Pantheism)? Then science
and religion become one.

The Universe qua universe does not seem to require any worship of itself.

Who mentioned worship? I'm talking about states.

Maybe they're both illusions?...
or aspects of the same "something"

Maybe you're an illusion.

More a representation than "illusion".
There is 'something' there, but that's
part of the mystery. Even the 'representation'
is a something. Then, why is there anything
at all?

"Illusion" may imply that the 'something'
is not there, where 'representation'
demands some sensory processes into
the information structures.

What hath 'God' wrought?

Well, in the minds of theists, the god can grant them haven or hell
and have angels to play with.
Universe have empty space, billions of planet and places unreachable
or inhabitable to human.

There is a vast difference.
