An Exhibition of Contemporary Indian Art is taking place at the Asiana
Gallery, at Jaipore Royal Indian Cuisine, Route 22, Brewster,N.Y.10509.
The exhibition has over 60 paintings by 20 artists that include, M.F.
Husain, Yusuf Arakkal, Sunil Das, Paresh Hazra, Paresh Maity, T.M. Azis,
Vasundhara Tiwari, Samir Mondal, Antonio E. Costa, Amal Ghosh,
Rm.Palaniappan, Bhaskaran, Suvaprasanna, Dipali Bhattacharya etc.
This exhibition will be open until April 10, 1998 and the Gallery

The gallery is situated at Jaipore Royal Indian Cuisine, Rt 22,
Brewster, N.Y.10509.The restaurant is the highest rated Indian
restaurant in S New York State(Zagat Guide, 1998). The gallery and
restaurant are situated in a beautiful 1856 Victorian mansion in the
spectacular Mid Hudson Valley just 1 hour and 15 minutes by train from
Grand Central Station, NY(get off at Croton Falls on the Harlem line and
it is a 1 mile taxi ride from the station. It is also only 30 minutes by
car from White Plains and 10 minutes from Danbury,CT.
The Exhibition is being conducted in cooperation with Gallery
Sumukha in Bangalore and is for charitable purposes for the Bangalore
Hospice Trust which is jointly run by the Rotary Club of Bangalore and
the Indian Cancer Society. Please come and enjoy the beautiful
surroundings and the marvellous pieces of art.
