The Indian information technology industry grew 33 per cent
year-on-year in 2004-05 to $28.5 billion with exports growing at 36 per
cent to $18.5 billion, according to a survey by technology publication
group Dataquest.
The domestic market grew by a healthy 27 per cent to touch Rs 43,026
crore ($9.9 billion). The growth was better than 2003-04, when the
domestic market grew 24 per cent.
"Once again, the domestic industry has shown it can do it with growth
in the twenties for the second year running," said Dataquest chief
editor Prasanto K Roy.
"After a decade of lagging software exports' growth, it's now showing
respectable growth, even though it's lost a percentage point in its
share of the pie at 35 per cent," he said.
Within the domestic market, growth was led by the services segment,
which grew by 37 per cent, compared to an overall hardware growth at 18
per cent. However, export revenues accounted for two-thirds of the
$28.5 billion of the Indian IT industry.
While software exports were up 37 per cent to Rs 55,692 crore (Rs
556.92 billion), the business process outsourcing market grew 38 per
cent to Rs 22,620 crore (Rs 226.2 billion).

Good for you.
Now take *some* of that money and take care of millions and millions of
utterly poor in India. Also build some much needed toilets for them.
Until India takes care of it's 100's of millions ultra poor low caste
humans, all this means nothing.
Don't mean to pee on your parade but this is the reality.

hear,there are no poor people in Pakistan,all those photos of the poor
we see,are rich people,just donning the garbs of baggers,and poverty
stricken people,just to get a feeling,of what it is to be poor,like the
unfortunate people who live in neighboring India,hmm great to get
advice from successfully Pakistani people from the entire length and
breath of Pakistan.

I will be the last person to say that there is no poverty in Pakistan.
There is poverty in Sub-Continent... and lots of it.
I just like to remind you Indians every so often to be humble and look
over your shoulders at the millions of utterly poor masses in your
country whilst you annoyingly stand on the roof top crowing over few
billion dollars rolled your way from the West.

i dont see the crowing,we know we have the poor,to be looked
after,nothing is free in life,we did not get whatever we earned,from
doing nothing,but assuming we shall not have pride in ourselves,we did
not make any exaggerated claims,moreover what ever news that is
published,it is what it is,news,it was not printed for Pakistan eyes
only,how do you think,we built such a strong middle class
population,not out of nothing,we have our own difficulties and
problems,and people are doing their best,to make good their opportunity
they get,to make themselves upwardly mobile,like anybody in any
country, would do,what is annoying you is,that Indians should not have
any good things happening for themselves,they ought to have been in a
situation,where poverty should have over taken,everything,and they
should collapse in their own weight of misfortune,and they should never
be able to climb on their roofs,let alone crowing annoyingly on their
roof tops,as Indians,they should not have anything positive for
themselves,what happens to the millions of Indians,who have toiled
hard, to make India,what it is today,all of them should collectively be
destroyed or disappear or whatever,but by gods grace,you dont want,to
see the day,or hear the news,that India is progressing....now how do
you think,we should go about portraying news, that sounds pleasing to
Pakistani ears.

For a moment I thought to ignore your post thinking that it may be some
obscene insult against Islam and Muslims (as is the norms in these
NG's) but I am glad you kept your composure and civility.
It's human nature to basically take care of one's own business i.e.
take care of your immediate family. This is universal. People strive to
do best in whatever they do because that will benefit their own lives
and their future generations. Sometimes it's not immediately visible
because of our false prejudices that we may think that the *other side*
are just (put any derogotary epithet here that you can come up with).
I have absolutely no problem with whatever Indians do at the individual
level or as a country to better yourselves. You can be proud if you
make any kind of progress... crow about it at the top of your lungs.
*BUT* when you do the crowing and gloats and flaunt in front of the
Pakistanis, then the reality must be shown to you "hey... be humble and
don't gloat... look at all this mess that you have to take care of in
your own country so go do that and leave the flaunting for some other
time". I agree that news are news. Take it like that and post it all
day long in *.indian.* NG's and see if anyone cares.
Pakistan has problems but so does India. Biggest one is poverty. Yours
is compounded because of the sheer size of your population and the fact
that caste system is still alive and well. It will be a proverbial
ostrich like "stick your head in the sand" behavior if you flaunt "for
paki eyes only" etc etc when you very well know that your own house may
be in the same or bigger mess of poverty.
Take care of your own house before trying to up it in front of the
others and don't be cheap and cheezy about every little success that
you may come across.

How much discussion on anything there is among Pakistanis just on SCP?
Even if a Pakistani starts a thread only on SCP it is crossposted with
added comments on SCI.
