this bold assertion came from a man who was said to be Jesus Christ's
cousin and forerunner.
A STUPENDOUS PROPHECY - FAILED
John the Baptist, the said forerunner not only denied any knowledge of
him
BEFORE the so-called baptism but also he was contradicted by Jesus
Christ in the following matter viz:
'the same is HE
WHICH BAPTIZES
with THE HOLY GHOST'.
Jesus Christ did no such thing ever.
in fact, there is not a single extant account in the 3 Synoptic
Gospels ;
or if you will, all 4 CANONICAL GOSPELS ONLY,
which demonstrated in any appreciable way,
that Jesus Christ ever baptized with the Holy Ghost or whatever.
and as a result, most Christian exponents of the new testament were
literally forced to explain it away, over the centuries past.
