Laplanders distill a lot of their own privately too. "Mhie oon
khyllästyny phontikkhaan! Khossusta mie sou'an koko yön!" a local told a
an acquaintance of mine when he went fishing in Lapland and needed a
local rower.

You are comparing two different things. Kalliala and Petelius
pretended to be ethnic Lapps (Sami) and the protests were about
racism. (The boys are both from Kymenlaakso, so they don't know a
thing about Lapps.) Your statistics are about the whole population of
Finnish Lapland, which is almost entirely Finnish. The 1 500 or so
Lapps are not much amongst nearly 200 000 Finns.
I'd like to see a rerun of "Viemäri-TV" in which a Lapp revenge squad
wandered in Helsinki in search of Petelius and co.

Not any more. The last statistic I saw had Finns as the majority. But,
as you pointed out yourself, the high figures of Utsjoki are caused by
Norwegian visitors to the local Alko.

be scoring
in excess of 30 litres per annum.
Take this to the European standard of .5 litres X 5.5% of pure alcohol
and you still

The statistics for meat and dairy products would probably show that
the lapps have a consumtion of 150000 calories a day. The Norwegians
are like locusts. Why don't they vote for a government that gives them
access to world markets without exorbitant taxes?
