Today at 10 AM, four Prisma department store employees (three men and
a woman) were shot dead in Sello, the biggest shopping mall in Espoo.
Later, the police found two more corpses in private apartments: the
gunman's former girlfriend - another Prisma employee - who had
obtained a restraining order against him, and the perpetrator himself,
43-year old Ibrahim Shkupolli, a Kosovo Albanian who has lived in
Finland for years.
Comparisons to our two recent school shootings are not really
relevant. They were committed by young Finns with legal firearms, this
one by a middle-aged refugee with at least two previous gun-related
convictions.
