Last month, violence in Maralbeshi, in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in northwestern China, left 21 dead. Chinese
authorities blamed the deaths on "terrorists," but a BBC reporter who managed to sneak into the region threw the official
account into question
Now a new report from the Uyghur Human Rights Project details the Chinese Communist Party's continued religious and cultural
repression of the Uyghurs, a Turkic Muslim minority who live in Xinjiang. Alim Seytoff, the Director of the Uyghur Human Rights
Project and President of the Uyghur American Association, joins China Focus to talk about the situation in Xinjiang.

Peter, the Dutch idiot, concern yourself to problems in Holland.
Problems in Tibet and Xinjiang are none of your business, unless you
are willing to go there and fight for their independence. Otherwise,
keep your mouth shut, and your asshole clean.
