California Mexican teen arrested on suspicion of dumping newborn

STANTON, Calif. (AP) � Authorities have arrested a Southern California
woman on suspicion of dumping her newborn daughter in a trash bin.
Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino says the 19-year-old
Anaheim woman, whose name wasn't released, was being treated Thursday at
a hospital. He says she'll be booked into the county jail after being
medically cleared.
The woman came under suspicion Wednesday when she went to West Anaheim
Medical Center and complained of pain. Authorities say the doctor who
examined her recognized that she had just given birth, but the woman
denied it.
The hospital called police, and investigators say they determined the
woman had dined at a Mexican restaurant in Stanton the night before.
They went to the restaurant and found the body of a full-term infant in
the trash bin in the back alley.
