There's really not much need to have many politicians if the people are
together as one imo. It's in the interest of the politicians to want to
have people hating each other and not living together in peace and
harmony.

The reason is simple. If people lived together in peace and harmony, then
they will demand for clean water, cheap energy, better roads, clean air,
this and that and seriously, which politician in Malaysia really wants to
work hard ? It's easier to just sign something and get a cut of the
money involved, rather than to work for the money.
