Gnostic Liberator
Maurice Samuel (February 8, 1895 - May 4, 1972) was a Romanian-born
British and American novelist, translator and lecturer.
A Jewish and Zionist intellectual, he is best known for his work You
Gentiles, published in 1924.

Samuel received many awards during his life, including in 1943 the
Anisfield-Wolf Award for his book, The World of Sholom Aleichem; the
award of
The Saturday Review of Literature in 1944; the 1956 Stephen S. Wise
Award; and
the 1967 B'nai B'rith Jewish Heritage Award. In 1964 Brandeis
University
awarded Samuel an honorary degree, Doctor of Humane Letters. On the
day of his
death, in 1972, Samuel was to have been in Israel to receive the
Manger Prize
for Yiddish Literature, for which he had been nominated by Israeli
President
Zalman Shazar. The prize was awarded posthumously in June, 1972.

was successful is due to the appeal of the idea of a "Holy Land" and
the ease with which its proponents could conect
with some sort of validation for the existence of the Catholic Church.
It also gained external support as hordes of disinherited knights
roamed Western Europe, dangerously.
It was a way to send them away, off to plunder foreign lands
(mainly Christian East Europe) - under pretence of Crusades.
So it was a win-win situation for all western parties. The problem for
the Catholic Church was that it effectively created a Frankenstein
monster which turned on its creator.
In modern times, people are beginning to realise that Israel is
an invented country, that the greater part of the jews are
brainwashed Europeans, and that Yahve the burning bush
is not a Christian god and has nothing to do with Christianity.

I can't help but notice that the largish Jewish populations of
Egypt, Yemen and Morocco have all but vanished over the last
100 years. I guess the ethnic cleansing of some groups is more
acceptable than others eh Abdul?
