is very interesting. I do not know much about the Lao-Tay, Mone-
Khamae, Chinese-Tibetan but Hmong-Iewmian. I do not know any thing
about others group but for the Hmong-Lewmien
The Hmong-Lewmien are not only two groups. There are support to be
three groups as Green Mong, White Hmong and Lewmian. The Green Mong
is the original speaking language that carry from China. The White
Hmong is speaking free Hmong language, they call themselve free
Hmong. Lewmian is a group speaking Lewmian language.
Why the Mong in Lao do not know about this different? Thanks

Yes in deed, according to new classification based on four criteria:
1. Common dialect;
2. Common territory;
3. Common background of economic livelyhood; and
4. Common psychological and ideological structure which can be seen in
the culture.
The Hmong-Iuwmien language family has two ethnic groups:
1. Hmong ethnic group; and
2. Iuwmien ethnic group.
The Hmong ethnic group has three main following sub-groups:
1. The white Hmong ມົ້ງຂາວ;
2. The Black Hmong ມົ້ງດຳ; and
3. The Striped Hmong or ມົ້ງລາຍ
(Please note that there is no green Hmong as you claimed)
While the Iuwmien ethnic group also has three sub-groups such as:
1. The Lanten group;
2. The Red Silk Yao; and
3. The White Yao.
The Iuwmien ethnic has its own dialect and uses Chinese scrip in their
writings.

What phouang say is true. Thanouxay, what you say just for the custon
clothes only. Some of the Mong das and Mong Lais are speaking white
Hmong Language and some speaking Green Mong Language. The customs
clothes will not represent the individual group, only the language
different will represent the group. As I know there only two groups
of Hmong/Mong in Laos, Thailand and USA or France but these two group
may have many different custon clothes. The das, lais, red head or
flowerly are only the clothers their use not the language they speak
daily.
As I memtion before the Green Mong language are the original Miao
language that carry from China. The White Hmong language are new and
just use in Lao or Thailand. They are represent the free Hmong or
free man.

What you just say is right. Usually the Green Mong do not want to
involve politic much, they just want to be peaceful people so in every
where they go, they just make a living. The Greden Mong mostly just
do business in work for money to feed they family. The Green Mong
alway treat by the White Hmong as second class Hmong but really is not
true. The Green Mong are the original from China and right now almost
of Chines Miao speak similar to Green Mong people not the White Hmong.

If white Hmong are not from China they should be
a native people like the Indians in North America then…
They must be hMong-Mon-khMer or the MMM then.
No wonder the MMM always make money out of the
green Hmong because they considered themselves a land
lord that green Hmong must pay to back for stay in Laos then.
So a real name of white Hmong should be $-mong instate
of H-mong or $mong face-money not Hmong-free i think...
