That was ten years ago and I remembered we have this discussion in SCL
before.
And I will keep on stating my point of view on this matter again. Who
ever report that does not know the differences between apple and
orange.

1. One can not comparing the life standard of refugees with the life
standard of immigrant (at least at the beginning).
A. Refugees came to the new countries (USA. Or any other countries)
with nothing with them, only the clothes on their back and their
beating hearts. They have no time to prepare or wealth to bring with
them. Some came with certain level of education back ground and some
are not.
B. Immigrants came to the country with long time preparing in advance.
They have wealth, education, and most of all they already have most of
the necessities of life and the living standard when they arrived to
the country, contrasting of refugees.
2. (SKIPPING ALL OF THE MUMBLE JUMBLE Difference obstacle of life
between refugees and immigrants)

3. If one just to compare only Laotian, Vietnamese, and Cambodian
refugees, I would agree some-what degree. But look again, most Lao
educated got kill or incarcerated in seminar camps. Most wealthier
and higher educated did not refuge to America. Most went to Europe
for asylum.

Now look again at the second generations of the refugee’s children and
the children of
The immigrants (even though the financially handicap of the refugee’s
children to the immigrant’s children)
I am very confidence now and would be fair to compare the second
generation to second generation. Even though many of the Laotian kids
do not make it to the expectations and so are other ethnic children.

That's my ground.
