Selvie Al-assadi on Tuesday 30th June 2009

In her personal statement Selvie Al-assadi says: "My love for
architecture originated from my fathers Civil Engineering background.
With role models such as Zaha Hadid and my tutor from London South
Bank University, Lilly Kudic, one can only become inspired by such
creativity and dedication to this field. This course has greatly
prepared me for the architectural world. I hope to one day return to
my homeland and have some influence towards rebuilding a new Iraq, a
new Kurdistan. I want to personally thank my father who's has been the
biggest influence in my career and thank the patience of the rest of
my family."
