I would like to take this opportunity to ask (actually considering some
of the things I have done and said, "beg" should be substituted for "ask")
anyone and everyone for forgiveness for any hurt, harm, injury, or any other
wrong I may have done to you (both directly and indirectly). Please accept my
apologies.

My only regret is that I have waited until now to do this. I wish I
could find it in me to apologize right after I have caused harm (actually, I
wish I could find it in me never to do harm), and not wait until Rosh Hashana.

While I am sure that I have "dished out" more than I have received, I
forgive any wrongs that have been done to me.

May the coming year be a sweet, healthy, peaceful, and prosperous one
for all. May it bring Moshiach, and may we all be in Jerusalem at this time,
if not earlier, next year.

Tell me, Makowsky, how routinely abnoxious can your postings be towards
people before I am justified in not taking such "begging" of forgiveness
seriously?

I mean, you posted something like this last year too, and I haven't
noticed any difference in the tone of your postings or in the selection
of insulting terminology you use to describe me and my opinions. Or
anyone else's that you strongly disagree with.

Neat ritual, though.

Actually, Yigal, you are saying much more than you think. That ritual
is among those rituals that have preserved Judaism for a few
millenia.

Your argument is similar to : How often would Jews be persecuted
and nearly destroyed, YET still worship god ?
