"It's hard to take seriously the idea of today's
Republican Party being the "Grand Old Party," as it
devolves into a Southern regional assemblage dominated
by petty right-wing radicals and religious-right zealots.

"Furthermore, as Romenesko points out, 'the term was
coined when the party wasn't more than 35 years old--in a
Chicago Tribune editorial after the 1888 election.'

"It never even earned its nickname!"

What this country really needs is to outlaw taxes on anyone earning
over $1 million a year, then ship all the jobs to India or China so
corporate profits skyrocket, the stock market goes through the roof,
and it all trickles down to the rest of us so we can once again enjoy
the American way of 1 house, 1 summer home, 2 cars in every garage and
a chicken in every pot.

If only Herman Cain hadn't been caught and exposed as a groping,
womanizing asshole.

At least he's passing the torch of traditional American family values
to Newt Gingrich. A man of superb credibility and an icon of
capitalism. America hasn't had a philandering Catholic for President
since JFK! It's Newt's time for the spotlight!

Nobody will vote for Mitt, he's too liberal and many in the Bible Belt
don't consider Mormonism to be a bona fide religion.

The power of the sweater vest will crush your silly Newt and the commie
liburil Mitt!
