The Continuing Idiocy of Rachel Corrie's Parents

Corrie in the Gaza Strip. They tried, but backed off when they learned the
identity of their would-be victims.
The Corrie parents were in the Gaza Strip as part of their global campaign
to get the world to commemorate their daughter's death by destroying Israel.
They are also trying to get terror lovers from around the world to boycott
the Caterpiller company for the crime of selling bulldozers to Israel, some
of which are used to fight terror.
You will recall that Rachel Corrie inadvertently committed suicide by
challenging an Israeli military bulldozer to a game of chicken as part of
her attempt to prevent it from destroying houses hiding a smuggling tunnel,
through which Palestinian terrorists were bringing in explosives to murder
Jewish civilians. Corrie died after being taken away for care in a
Palestinian medical facility. The Israeli bulldozer driver insisted he had
not seen Corrie at all, who was hidden from his line of sight, and otherwise
he would have stopped the machine. Corrie had been dispatched to Gaza and to
her suicide death by the pro-terror International Solidarity Movement (ISM).
Corrie has since become the martyr saint for the pro-terror lobby and is
even celebrated by David Duke.
Her parents were touring the area when the people their daughter died for
tried to kidnap them, as well. According to the news report:
Palestinian gunmen burst into a Rafah house early Wednesday and tried to
kidnap the parents of Rachel Corrie, who was killed in 2003 as she protested
the impending demolition of a house in the southern Gaza town, according to
a witness.
The five gunmen appeared to be affiliated with the Fatah movement, according
to Samir Nasrallah, the Corries' host. The gunmen eventually relented after
being told who their targets were, he said.
Corrie, of Olympia, Wash., was crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer in
2003 as she tried to stop it from demolishing Nasrallah's house. Her
parents, Craig and Cindy, have repeatedly visited Nasrallah since their
daughter's death. They left Gaza safely after the attempted kidnapping,
Nasrallah said.
All this comes just a few days after a British "peace activist," in Gaza to
help the terrorists, was kidnapped together with her parents but then
released, as was an Italian leftist. Seems that Palestinian terrorists are
having trouble separating theWesterners who are in town to assist terrorism
from other Western infidels.
This should have been a marvelous opportunity for the Corrie parents to
learn first hand just what Palestinian terrorism is all about and just why
Israel needs to fight terrorism with a variety of means at its disposal,
including bulldozers.
Meanwhile, both the ISM and the Corries are trying to turn the incident into
a new Bash-Israel festivity. The "ISM Media Group" in the name of the
"Olympia-Rafah Sister City Project," claimed that news reports stating that
the parents of slain American human rights activist Rachel Corrie were the
intended targets of an attempted kidnapping Wednesday in Gaza are
"incorrect." They claim the Corries were never threatened with kidnapping,
nor did gunmen burst into the house where the Corries were staying.
(Sure...we believe whatever the ISM terrorists tell us!)
The Corrie parents issued a statement blaming Israel: "The continued Israeli
occupation undermines the ability of Palestinians to have a free society,"
they said.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Corrie:
I was quite disappointed that you learned absolutely nothing from the
near-kidnapping by terrorists you experienced this week. This of course
came after your open letter to the world, "A Call to Action; Rachel's Words
Live", was reprinted in many different media outfits, including the
viciously anti-Jewish Counterpunch magazine, and the Guardian.
In that letter, you begin by recalling that your daughter was "killed by an
Israeli bulldozer", but you neglect to mention the circumstances under which
she was so killed (nor the fact that she died from her injuries while under
Palestinian medical care). You then add, "She had been working in Rafah
with a nonviolent resistance organization, the International Solidarity
Movement, trying to stop the demolition of Palestinian homes and wells."
She was not. She was trying to prevent the demolition of tunnels used to
smuggle weapons for Palestinian terrorists seeking to murder Jewish
civilians. The ISM openly endorses Palestinian "armed struggle" against
Jewish children and civilians and openly collaborates with terrorists. It
has hidden wanted terrorists and their weapons in its offices. It is an
accomplice in murder. Two Arabs who entered Israel under ISM auspices blew
up a Tel Aviv pub and murdered Jews. Lying is not the best way to drum up
sympathy for your dead daughter.
Your daughter was in Rafiah to serve as a human shield to defend and promote
Palestinian terrorism. When you were nearly kidnapped, you were there for
the same reason. The International Solidarity Movement is a pro-terrorist,
pro-violence anti-Semitic organization that your daughter chose to join.
You pretend that your daughter died trying to protect an "innocent house".
You are lying again. That "innocent house" was camouflage for a
not-so-innocent terrorist smuggling tunnel and the residents of that
innocent house knew all about the tunnel.
Your daughter was in a war zone as a belligerent, as one who had - perhaps
wittingly and perhaps not - recruited herself on behalf of a genocidal
movement of Arab fascists seeking to destroy Israel and murder as many Jews
as possible. Your daughter died while interfering with an anti-terror
operation carried out by an army in a land in which she had no business
being at all. You demand that we feel your pain at the loss of your
daughter, yet your daughter conscripted herself as an aid for those seeking
to murder my children.
The raison d'etre of the ISM is to assist Palestinian terrorists murder
Jewish children, and to prevent all Israeli efforts to fight that campaign
of murder. Your daughter foolishly put herself in harm's way by challenging
a large bulldozer and placing herself in a position where the operator could
not see her. You know quite well that the bulldozer operator was not
seeking to harm your daughter. And you know damned well that no harm would
have fallen her had she not decided to "play chicken" with the machine,
about as responsible a form of behavior as running across unlit segments of
LA freeways at midnight.
You write, "We had not understood the devastating nature of the Palestinians
' situation." Of course, you have never expressed any interest in the
devastating nature of the Jews' situation. The Jews have been battling Arab
fascism and terrorism for a hundred years, before, during, and after the
Nazi Holocaust of six million Jews. Your daughter was allied with those
seeking to continue the perpetration of nazi-like atrocities against
randomly selected Jews. You smugly praise the propaganda play about your
daughter in London, which ignored all the other Rachels, the Jewish women
victims of terror in Israel, who were murdered by the genocidal terrorists
with whom your daughter's ISM friends collaborate.
Your daughter, and apparently you as well, never had any understanding of
the Middle East conflict. The Middle East conflict is NOT about the right
to self-determination of Palestinian Arabs, but rather is about the right to
self-determination of Israeli Jews. For a century the Arabs have attempted
to block any expression of Jewish self-determination, using violence, armed
aggression, and terrorism. The Arabs today control 22 countries and
territory nearly twice the size of the United States. They refuse to share
even a fraction of one percent of the Middle East with Jews, even in a
territory smaller than New Jersey.
The Arab countries invented the imaginary Palestinian "people" and their
imaginary "plight" after 1967 as a propaganda ploy in imitation of the
German campaign on behalf of Sudeten self-determination in the 1930s. Just
like the struggle for "Sudeten liberation" was nothing more than a fig leaf
for the German aggression aimed at annihilating Czechoslovakia, so the
struggle for "Palestinian liberation" is nothing more than a jihad to
destroy Israel and its population. And it is in support of that goal that
the ISM operates, even taking its operational orders from the terror
leaders.

I am afraid you are mistaken. Your daughter has become a symbol for
dangerous foolhardiness. She committed suicide as an empty gesture meant to
assist murderers and terrorists.
You want the world to mourn for your daughter, who died as part of her
efforts to assist those trying to murder my children. You demand on the
pages of anti-Semitic propaganda web magazines that the world mourn your
daughter, but you do not have a single word of sympathy for the families of
the thousands of innocent victims of the terrorists with whom your daughter
chose to ally herself.

Meanwhile, it must come as a complete surprise for anyone who was away from
the planet these past few months that the expulsion of the Jewish population
of the Gaza Strip by Ariel Sharon has now resulted in escalating daily
Kassam rocket bombardments of the Jewish towns of southern Israel.
As you recall, the entire world media had insisted all along that the
expulsion would result in tranquility, just like the imaginary tranquility
on Israel's northern border with Lebanon, since - after all - what possible
reason would the PLO and its affiliates have to shoot rockets out of Gaza at
the Jews? After all, Israel had given the Palestinians EVERYTHING they
wanted, including a Judenrein Gaza Strip, so clearly they would have no
reason to engage in violence and shooting AFTER the expulsion!
It should have been obvious that the expulsion would result in massive
escalation in violence and in Kassam and mortar fire that would eventually
make an ever-widening circle inside Israel and around Gaza as unlivable.
Well, we are clearly well on our way to fulfillment of that prediction.
Kassams fired from Gaza now land in Israel every day. Israel, still deluded
into believing there exists a "peace process", responds only when they land
"too close" to power plants and similar installations, and - even then - by
bombing empty PLO buildings after warning the PLO.
Now the latest attempt by the Israeli government to control the damage of
the Gush Katif capitulation and expulsion is to move tanks and artillery up
to the Gaza fence in order to prevent the Kassam shooters from using the
abandoned Jewish settlements as sites for shooting. When the terrorists are
setting up missiles, Israel tries to shoot at them.
You with me here? The abandoned Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip are
the closest points from which the PLO can fire rockets at Negev towns. The
Israeli heavy artillery has been moved up to prevent the PLO and its HAMAS
affiliates from entering those abandoned settlements in order to set up and
fire rockets at the Negev.
Now here is a thought. If Israel's whole purpose is to make it hard for the
PLO and Hamas to move into the areas of the abandoned Gaza Jewish
settlements to shoot rockets at Israel, then WHY THE HELL DID ISRAEL EXPEL
THE JEWISH SETTLERS IN THE FIRST PLACE? Leaving the Jewish settlers there
would have been the most effective way to prevent the PLO and Hamas from
setting up rocket shooters inside the territories of those settlements!
And so - instead of moving tanks and heavy artillery up to the Gaza fence to
shoot at PLO and HAMAS terrorists when they try to enter the territories of
those abandoned Jewish settlements to shoot at the Negev - wouldn't it be so
much simpler and cheaper just to move all the expelled Jewish settlers back
to their homes in the Gaza Strip?

of reasons. It was a lot less common when I went to college
over twenty-five years ago, but even back then, I knew

Contrary to the impression, Evergreen isn't entirely a "hippy-dippy"
school, and there are people who come out with degrees in useful areas,
