Of course they are represented!
Senators and Congessmen are elected by the citizens in general elections.
Universities are available to all citizens
and , in fact, special benefits are given to minorities in most
Universities. If you have ever seen US television you must have seen the
large number of minorities in news and other mainstream shows!

They marched and protested for civil rights and got them back in the
sixties. What have African-Americans done to improve themselves as a race

They won't lower the entrance exam for Anglosaxons to get into most
universities. You can't even give a black person a IQ test in California but
whites must take them.
Many Anglosaxons suffer in the work place because of Affimitive Action.
We have bosses who are as smart as a bag of hammers. During inventory one
weekend last year I had a black supervisor, looking at thousands of crank
shafts, ask "How many of dee's go in each engine"!! I thought he was joking,
he was not.

I recognize it all the time! On the phone mostly, if I hear "He be out of
da office" or He Do? And another one is "press one to continue in english"
This is when I recognize their national identity, you can't help it. And
it's always fun to spend 30 mins trying to understand what a Pakistani or
Indian is trying to say. You don't know how many times I've wanted to say
"hey, is there any white people standing near you? please put them on the
phone"

Hispanic-American have one vote, so does German-American,
Irish-American. You have your representatives in congress and senate
like every one else. Why do African-American, and Hispanic-American
always have a chip on their shoulders, and moan, "Not fair"? The world
is not fair, not because of who you are. It is a struggle no matter
what you look like. The first step you have to establish is "Do not
discriminate yourself. i.e. you are American (period!) Insist on that!
You are not something-American.
