It's been a while since I've been here - there's so much going
on off-line that my surfing has been, errm, curtailed somewhat!
Anyways, Unki/Shero asked me to drop him a line when our baby was
born, so ...
On Wednesday, 18th of November at 3:23pm, baby Kate Alanna
Cassidy was born. We're all home from hospital now, Lynda and Kate
are asleep in the room beside me. My heart is bursting with joy!
This does bring up the interesting situation that we now
officially have an I-Am in the family. And when we return home to
Cork in a year or so, we'll have an I-Am that grew up in Ireland.
Imagine what this will do for the next generation's flamewars
on soc.culture.irish!! 8-)
Hail Kate! 8-)

congratulations, Pete. You don't know me, but that's okay. I've only been
here a little while. It is good to hear someone so profoundly in love with
you new family. The best of luck and brightest of futures to the three of
you.

Another set, is this catching on SCI. Is this the reason for all these requests
for SNIPS?
Anyway congrats, congrats (its for twins) to both of you.

For a moment I was almost nostalgic for a newborn addition to the family, then I
remembers, nappies full of heaven knows what, midnight feeds, teething etc.
But don't let me put you off :)

As I was going to S.C.I.,
I met a man with seven lies.
Each lie had seven posts,
Each post had seven boasts.
Each boast had seven nyms.
Nyms, boasts, posts, lies,
Guess who's going in my killfile?

Baa baa, black sheep, have you any snatch?
Yes sir, yes sir, man from hut of thatch.
Some for the Cardinal, some for the Brens,
And some for the Unki when he comes back again.
Gerard had posted another dozen URLs with sheep pics, Kate the aged was going on
about "in her day", and, thankfully, Unki was on sabbatical again! The only one
she really enjoyed was Pete, the ageless Southern bard, who always amused her
with tales of buttock massages. His pastiche made her feel all tingly, and she
wished she could scrape up the money to run away to Alabama and meet him.
In the meantime, she read as McVey and McTigue tried to come to grips with
modern science, and Whitewolf's son flirted with her. "Oh well", she thought,
"at least that Higgins guy hasn't made a pass at me in a week".
(Remember, Peter, one day she will *date*)
