I saw half of a new RTE comedy series starring Ardal O'Hanlon and
written by Arthur Matthews and Paul Woodful, a few days ago. I only
saw half but it looked promising. Val Falvey TD.

dunno if that works outside Ireland?

Then tonight, I almost wet meself watching "The Savage Eye". It was
brilliant. Ray: I really recommend it. I thought of you constantly
as I watched it (between visits to the kitchen to get the mop).

Apparently, the RTE player is only available to viewers in the Republic of
Ireland and Northern Ireland.

I'm in Hong Kong presently and I get the screendump below when I click the
link above.

I remember David McSavage, armed with is guitar, from traipsing around
Temple Bar in the mid-2000s. A great talent. Great improvisational
ability. I hope he can continue to do that, no holds barred, n RTE.

HeHe.

A tad unfair, don't ye think?

I read that. Very vivid language. He writes, "It is[David McSavage's
Savage Eye] , without question, the unfunniest thing that has ever
been broadcast on TV anywhere in the world. And I include Arab TV
where they show live HD beheadings of screaming westerners." I wonder
what beheadings he is referring to? Those beheadings of western
contractors/westerners in Iraq and elsewhere by terrorists? I
searched for those videos a while back on the internet. They weren't
hard to find.

Having been picked on by McSavage to entertain a mindless mob of students
and tourists, I can recommend him.

I watched this one from your link, and there are some very good bits,
and some embarrassingly bad ones - just like all RTE comedies...

I absolutely adored the bit about the Séan Nos.
