And what about the non-believers who don't harm others and who live a
moral life with moral principles?

I heard a presenter on the radio recently, Gerry Ryan, talking to an atheist
woman and he couldn't understand how she could inculcate any sense of
morality into her child without the 'benefit' of religion, presumably his
religion.

On the above topic, I remember many moons ago speaking to an old lady
of my parents' acquaintance. She was extremely ancient (or felt so to
me who was an impetuous teenager at the time), and very religious -
though to be fair, never bigotted.
She was very active in a local (lay) association looking after the
less well off and the homeless locally. I remember her coming to tea
some afternoon, and chatting with my mother. She was singing the
praises of this new youngster who had just joined the Committea and
