In Search of An American Grand Strategy For the Middle East

At the Aspen Institute Symposium, (July 1977) PM Amir Abbas Hoveyda is seen briefing
Empress Farah Pahlavi about matters under discussion. Walking behind is Houshang
Nahavandi, counselor to the Empress and former Minister of Housing, wearing a blanket
and shivering in the cold mountain air of Colorado where the conference was held.

Justin Raimondo's new post (https://www.antiwar.com/justin/?articleid=7656) suggests
that the real "Middle East Grand Strategy" meeting of August 2003 probably took place
in or near Jackson Hole, Wyoming sometime after the "Aspen Institute Middle East
Strategy Group" wrapped up its conference in Colorado.

We know neocon fabricator (New York Times reporter) Judith Miller
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judith_Miller_%28journalist%29) was there, vacationing
where the Aspens cluster. We know Irv Lewis "Scooter" Libby
(http://rightweb.irc-online.org/ind/libby/libby.php) was there, improbably dressed up
as a cowboy. The press spotted Dick Cheney in the neighborhood, naturally enough,
since he keeps a home there.

I wonder if special investigator Patrick Fitzgerald
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Fitzgerald) has asked anyone about Wyoming in
August 2003. I wonder if Kenneth Pollack, widely believed to be "USGO-1"
(http://groups.google.ca/group/soc.culture.iranian/msg/36a903045ca25b06?hl=en) in the
Larry Franklin Israeli espionage investigation
(http://groups.google.ca/group/soc.culture.iranian/msg/bf821b9b3c785f6f?hl=en) and
Judy Miller's copanelist at Aspen Institute, was in Wyoming then, too.... But more on
that later.
