Top U.S. advisers to address AIPAC meet
By Nathan Guttman
U.S. National Security Adviser 'Condoleezza Rice' and 'Richard Holbrooke',
chief foreign policy adviser to Democratic presidential candidate 'John
Kerry', will address an American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC)
conference in Florida next weekend.
The two will present the key points of their respective candidates' foreign
policy platforms on the Middle East and Israel.
It will be the first time a senior administration official has appeared
before AIPAC since the media broke the story of an FBI investigation into
suspicions that a Pentagon employee, 'Larry Franklin', had passed classified
information to AIPAC officials, who in turn passed it on to Israel.
According to reports in the American press, Rice had actually been informed
of the ongoing investigation three years ago, but she, President George Bush
and Secretary of State Colin Powell continued to make periodic appearances
at AIPAC events.
