Is Kerala the new home to LeT's terror camps in India?

Kochi, Feb 10 - God's Own country, Kerala is touted to be the new
home of terrorist training camps in India. The fact was validated
when the NIA special court chargesheeted LeT suspect Thadiyantavide
Nazeer and 17 other people on Thursday. They were chargesheeted after
it was found that they had carried out terror recruitment activities
among Keralites in LeT camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The chargesheet was made on the basis of a report filed by NIA before
the NIA Court Judge S Vijayakumar. They charged the accused of waging
a war against India through organizing terror camps in the guise of
Thareekath camps.

Among those who were served with the chargesheet include K V Abdul
Jaleel, M H Faisal, P Mujeeb, Shafaz, Muhammed Ninar, Ibrahim
Maulavi, Firoz, Badaruddin, Muhammed Nawaz, Abdul Jabbar, Sabir P
Bukhari, P K Anaz, Shaneej, Abdul Hamid, Sainuddin, Umarul Farooq and
Sarfaraz Nawaz.

The court added that among those who hatched the conspiracy include
Thadiyantavide Nazeer, Shafaz, Ibrahim Maulavi, Sabir, Mujeeb,
Sainuddin, Umarul Farooq and Sarfaraz Nawaz.

The report found that the camps were organized in places in Kerala
since 2006 like Neerchaal, Puthupara, Kanhangad Mosque, Karutha
Makkath, Chettipaddi, Kalamassery Falcon industrial building,
Kanniyapuram Abdul Rasaq Valliyaullahi Makham, Kaloor Juma Masjid
shopping complex and Hyderabad Jamianuriya Dargah.

While Nawaz took the building on rent in Kannur for the purpose of
organising the camp, the classes for the same was conducted by
Ibrahim Maulavi and Thadiyantavide Nazeer. The last such camp was
organized at Neerchaal on Aug 14, 2008 that saw the recruitment of 5
Kerala youths. All except one, who were recruited, died at the hands
of the Indian army in an encounter in Kashmir.

Two other wanted in the case, Sabir and a Pakistani citizen Wali is
yet to be nabbed. The trial on the case is expected to begin on Feb
27 and will see 42 witnesses and investigative officials being
examined.

the extra "b" and "gmail.com") to make it appear as if the posts are
from "fan...@aol.com", who has been a regular poster for many years.
