Racism and the Han Nation

During the reign of the Manchu empire, i.e. the Qing dynasty, the Han Chinese
were forced to wear the Manchu style pigtails from the time they were
conquered in 1644, and once the 1911 revolution gathered pace the Han would
cut off their pigtails to show their "Freedom from Manchu oppression" as Mao
described it.
The revolution of 1911 was unequivocally an uprising by one race against
another; by the Han against the Manchu.
The revolution even flew the white Han flag, which bore just one character;
Han, in the clearest indication that the revolution was a fight by the Han
against their invaders and overlords, the Manchu, which the Han deeply
despised and resented.
Sun Yat-sen, in a most bizarre show of deference to Han superiority, even went
to the Yongle Emperor's tomb and addressed him as though he were present:
"The policies of the Manchus have been one of obdurate tyranny, motivated by a
desire for eternal subjugation of the Chinese. The Manchus have governed the
country to the everlasting detriment of the people. Today, the Chinese race
has finally restored the government to the Chinese people. Your people have
come here today to inform your Majesty of the final victory."
But this sentiment soon gave way to a realization that what they, the Han, are
now doing in subjugating the Manchus and all the other races, which in turn
were subjugated by the Manchu's earlier, is exactly the same as the Manchus
did to them, and of course the very reason for the revolution.
So, in order to be able to justify the subjugation, occupation and conquest of
these indigenous lands and territories and 'claim' them as part of the new Han
nation, Sun Yat-sen, in a stroke of the most duplicitous conniving, made an
abrupt, and complete about turn and declared the Republic of China a
'multiethnic state composed of Mongols, Tibetans, Han, Uighur and Manchus'.
But of course it was, and is today, the Han who hold all the power in this
'multiethnic, nation.
Thus, the Han Chinese claimed the territories of all the other nations
comprising over 60% of today's China, in spite of the fact that none of these
nations was a willing participant, or had any share in the economic, military
or political power.
And neither do they today!
In fact, Tibet and Mongolia had just reasserted their independence. This of
course was a further catalyst to change tack completely for the Han Chinese,
who sought to dominate all the territories of their erstwhile overlords; the
so much loathed and despised Manchus.
This stroke of "racist genius" by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, more than anything else,
unites the Communists of mainland China and the Nationalists of Taiwan in
celebrating him as the 'father of modern China', though he wasn't even in the
country for the best part of the revolution!
The ordinary people of the Manchu race paid a very heavy price, as once the
Han had established themselves as the power to be reckoned with and the Manchu
reign had collapsed, widespread ethnic cleansing took place and an orgy of
Manchu slaughtering spread throughout the new republic.
This sort of racism was of course not new to the new republic, during the
Manchu empire, and here the distinction between the Manchu ruling class and
the Han Chinese subjects becomes somewhat blurred, the 'Chinese' would view
all the 'border people as 'barbarians'.
They would refer to these 'barbarians' with the added characters of dog for
the people of the north, a reptile for the Min and Man people and a sheep for
the Qiang, etc.
This entrenched racism is at the root of the barbarism and atrocities visited
upon all the subjugated and conquered people, ever since the days of the
Manchu empire, and even earlier.
The Chinese under the Manchu banner perpetrated the most heinous atrocities in
Tibet against the local population and committed such acts of barbarity that
it left the Tibetans deeply traumatised and in utter desolation.
(Of course today we celebrate these atrocities in the name of the victims in
the unreservedly hypocritical 'Serfs Emancipation Day'.)
Now the CCP has learnt its lesson from history and has, ever since its
ascendancy, systematically denigrated these 'border people' and 'barbarians'
with every means possible.
Through movies, exhibitions, books, curriculum content inculcated into
generations of Chinese students, daily news, even sitcoms, entertainment
programmes, etc.
The staged and incited riots in Lhasa, and later in Urumqi have provided the
CCP with a smorgasbord of motives and excuses to further malign and denigrate
these people.
The news about the riots was underscored by the most vociferous and incendiary
commentary, and was broadcast around the clock ad nauseam to instil maximum
resentment and hatred in their sole constituency, the Han people, against
these subjugated minorities.
This is a clear strategy by the Han CCP to create a common enemy against which
they could unite their 1.2 billion strong Han masses, and divert their anger
away from CCP themselves.
(A ploy Hitler used successfully against the Jews in the 1930s; Then the Jews
under Hitler, today the Tibetans under Hu Jintao)
The CCP has been under increasing pressure from an ever more restless,
discontented and disenfranchised populace who sees the CCP and their cronies
pocketing all their money, and stealing, cheating and grafting from the masses
for their own profit, besides the unbearable oppression and gerrymander that
is bedevilling 'China'.
Denigrating and demonising the opponent is the oldest, and most odious, trick
in the book. It has been used by every tyrant and every nation subjugating
other people, but the CCP has turned it into a completely new and depraved
'art form' by combining it with the biggest, most unashamedly blatant
propaganda machinery any regime has ever devised.
This calculated denigration and demonisation is at the root of the atrocities
committed by the Han Chinese, particularly during the last sixty years, but
also during the last three hundred years, and of course today, mainly in Tibet
but also in the other occupied territories.
Make the victim subhuman and you've got a puppet citizenry of automatons and
thus completely suspend the perpetrators' conscience.
This is borne out in the truly abhorrent atrocities which Han Chinese are
capable of committing, in the 21st century no less, against their purportedly
fellow brothers and sisters, in Tibet, China proper, and the other occupied
territories.
Today, even people in the west are sometimes uncertain as to what is fact, and
what are CCP propaganda lies, let alone the people of China, who for want of
any alternative news source are left to grasp at every insane propaganda lie
fed to them.
The result can be seen on any forum where Han Chinese defend the indefensible
in their decidedly callous, obdurate and boorish fashion.
Racism is pernicious and insidious; the so programmed perpetrator is unwilling
and unable to recognize it, and even perceives the mere fact of raising such
affronts on their behalf as prejudice.
Sad indeed, for a mind hostage to such a meme is the mind of blind, deaf and
mute person.

Off course, but of what costs did the bring this welfare?
Taiwan was much faster then China, did not need to destroy old culture's or
abuse Human Rights for that and don't forget the incredible pollution in
China.
The first 30 years the communists brought China to the worst level of
Civilization they had ever known. If they could forget their communistic
dreams it could go so much faster, real harmony could be soon on the way.

people thing. chinese people just want to get on with their lives. RAK

Thanks for your comment and the poem, I hope you did not take it personally.
I'm not sure if I like the poem or not, there are times that a culture needs
to protect itself and there are times that a culture needs to open up. In my
view the Chinese want to be global so they need to open up as much as they can
and not stick to a brain-blocking idealism, patriotism and so on, they should
take the world in there heart like the Indians do.
It goes both ways, but never on demand, understanding has to find its way to
the heart.

have come to realize and recognize as part of our nature:
Besides, look at Jews. They are some of the most literate and educated
people in the world today, very urban, very successful in international
business, and yet they have a consciousness of who they really are. Can
you imagine if you to tell them, hey, you know how you can make Israel
more successful in a world that's getting smaller and smaller? Open up
Israel to the Palestinians, open up Israel to Kenyans and Zimbabweans,
and you'll be wealthier, you'll boost trade, you'll be enriched by
diversity? Do you really think Jews would buy that?
On June 28, 1993, Yitzhak Rabin said: "But for me a Jewish state means
that at least 80 percent of its citizens must be Jewish. I don't want a
situation of four, five million Jews and two and a half or three million
Palestinians, because we are different. We are different entities by
religion, by policies. We are different nations. Different by
nationality. I see what happens all over the world nowadays when there
are large minorities that don't want to identify with the destiny of the
state in which they are a major minority." Sadly he wasn't good enough
for one Yigal Amir.....
Or take the case of Japanese. It doesn't 'open up' to outsiders and yet
it's *still* incredibly successful in spite of the 1990s 'lost decade'.
It has the longest life expectancies of the world, the healthiest
populations in the world, and the wealthiest country in the world adult
net worth as noted elsewhere. From an American writer:
A few decades from now, Japan will still be unmistakably Japanese.
While America which opens up to all the wretched refuse in the world,
blinded by "brain-blocking idealism", is already no longer recognizable.
