One of the great documentary shows in the last 10 years... The greatest, to me, is of course THE LIFE OF MAMMALS, in HULU PLUS subscription.

(You will likely need to use Google's CROME to watch these, in 2-D, since watching them in MSFT or Fire Fox shows 3-D and it's not good for the naked eye. I think, though I am not sure, that you'd likely get all episodes, if you had HULU PLUS...)

This is apparently a 5-part serious, by BBC and the Chinese, but for some reason, I am not seeing episodes 4 and 5.

But even these first 3 episodes are very educational. Presented by Brian Cox, a professor of physics, the show was done in the manner of all the great ones presented by David Attenborough, the great naturalist and documentary presenter who's now in this 80s or 90s.

Cox, indeed, is to take over for Attenborough as the BBC's most revered documentary/nature presenter.

And given Cox's advance knowledge in the hard core science like physics, which underpins chemistry and biology, the show are much more modern and technical.

For example, while no documentary presented by Attenborough ever showed biochemical processes and chemical formulas and mathematical equations, you see that decently presented in Cox's presentations... not too much, since these shows are for the general public, so BBC doesn't want to overwhelm us with technical details; but such details show enough so that a willing-to-learn person could go on and do his/her own reading/research, if interested...

Of course, unlike the naturalist and experienced David Attenborough, you get some of Cox unease on subjects like animal classification, names, niches, etc., and he'd call an alligator a crocodile, etc., but other than small superficial things like that, Cox is a very well read, well spoken, very likeable & deeply knowledgeable person and an excellent presenter.
