History: Why the Great Khan "Failed" to Conquered Europe

Climatologists and other scientists examined tree rings to come up with the conclusion that there's a reason for Genghis Khan's descendants to decide against conquering Europe, even though they could have done it: those few years they're there in Europe, there were excessive rains, making it harder than usual for them, on horses, to travel.
As you know, or should know, in terms of pure conquest, Genghis Khan and his sons and grandsons conquered more land and people than all other conquerors in history.
The British's far-flung empire is sometimes put on as a larger empire; but if you examine it carefully, it's not true. The British used ships to conquered different corners of the world... mostly to subdue just the ruling elites, which they, then, set up as servants to collect taxes and valuable raw materials for them... and the British, then, pretty much stayed by some coastal harbor, and even then, it's not really as large as the absolute conquest of the Mongols, which stretched from Korea to India, Persia/Iran, up to much of what's today Russia... and they're starting to enter into western Europe... except the heavy rains....
THAT, rather than a death in the family, scientists concluded, WAS THE REAL REASON why the Mongols decided to turn back...
