I support everyone's rights to express their opinion, but holding
protests during times of celebration is plainly wrong. Example:

Commie sold Lao lands for Chinese to build this sport complexes, LPDR
received millions of dollars from Viet for Lands used in Southern
Laos. These SEA game are benefit only to the idiots of a few on the
top government. It leave millions of dollars of debts for many Laos
nai generations to pay for. No way a typical person can afford a game
ticket to the sport event when a typical Lao person makes $1 per day.

Regarding freedom of the press, we already know what the Lao PDR will
be doing, according to their state run "media" of the KPL:
"The mass media at all times are involved in the Party strategy and
tactics...The Lao Journalists' Association also took steps in urging
journalists to serve the country and people, being Party and
Government announcers, disseminating policies and motivating the
people to implement two strategic tasks: development and the country's
security and protection."

destroy Lao heritage and culture, the video you referred to is LPB
royal heritage and culture that all Lao people still embrace despite
its early repression by the communists. Even the institution of Wat
and religion was wrong in the eye of the communists, as there is no
god for communism and yet the elderly politburos, now suffering from
their excess of life that they don't know how to handle, kneel in
front of Buddha statues and saffron robes and ask for salvation for
their sins.
To resolve an issue, people has to own up to them; the issue is Lao
people are not given the rights for self determination. The form of
freedom and liberty may differs from the western model, but the people
has the rights to choose; free of repression, aggression and
oppression.
It is not an issue of law and order, when Phak is outside the law and
therefore conducting unlawful acts. Corruption only benefit the few ,
is an act of contempt of common interests and stealing from the public
that belongs to everyone to share as in true socialism. Lack of
transparency breeds secret deals and sell off of national assets into
private hands that deprives and mortgage Lao future, who is forced
into a life of servitude to foreign interests, a stranger in their own
land. GOL is living a fast life that they can not afford, on credit
cards, a costly veneer life style that will soon catch up with them;
and people will say the politburo has no cloth.
This will be a brief history of mismanagement due to hatred souls
above logic, a brief history of failed communism and revenge compare
with the long memorable royal heritage. As in Russia, all the statues
and mausoleums will be dismantled and buried by generations to come
that have no heart or ownership of problems of your own creation.

guess what I just third mortgage the house to buy a Ferrari; what
would your family would say? one it will only seat two, did you ask
anyone? what about your wife who worked two jobs to buy this family
home. Does Laos need SEA game? already we are a laughing stock when
Lao officials cut down the events down to a minimum and yet wants the
lot (royalties). How many Lao jobs did it create? now we fiddling with
migration law to open a way for honorary Chinese take over That Luang
